Former Real Madrid and Germany international midfield maestro, Toni Kroos has dropped a bombshell that is now trending on social media.
The Midfield maestro who recently hanged his boot after winning his sixth champions league with Madrid, revealed that before he made the move from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid in the summer of 2014, he was very close to joining Manchester United.
He further narrated that he wanted to join Manchester United when the English club disgracefully sacked David Moyes who was helping him negotiate the deal to come to United.
In his words:
“Before signing for Real Madrid in 2014, I had an agreement with Manchester United. They sacked David Moyes who I was still sitting with on sofa in Munich. It was very nice for him for him to be sitting in our house with his wife. Then they (Manchester United) hired Van Gaal, and we both politely declined.
