Barcelona and French defender, Jules Kounde has become a topic of discussion on social media as fans bash him for saying he and his teammates would go on-strike due to the plenty games packed this season.
The ongoing 2024/2025 football season came with some changes and additional matches with the UEFA champions league changing it’s format to a new one with more games to play.
It is in this vein, that Jules Kounde came out to say that the games are too much, and there is little to no rest for them this season. He further stressed that things like this can bring lots of injuries or burnouts.
In his words: “We players have been saying this for 3-4 years now but nobody pays attention to us. The time will come when we will have to go on strike to make ourselves heard as Rodri said.
Kounde’s comment on the plenty matches this season didn’t go down well with a lot of fans who insisted that he is being paid enough for it.
Some fans even wished they could exchange careers with Kounde even if it means playing matches everyday of the week provided they would be collecting the outrageous hundreds of thousands of pounds or euros the likes of Kounde earn from football.
