A 30 years old female referee, Emmanuela Rusta has made news headline after she reportedly deactivated her Instagram account due to plenty cyber stalking from male fans.
She recently became the first woman to referree a men’s Albanian superliga match. The Albanian is also officiating women champion league matches.
Away from her duty on the football pitch, she likes to post gym photos or photos of herself wearing bikini’s on her Instagram page but she noticed that a lot of her male fans do sexu@lize her. So she closed down the IG page because of that.
According to her; she receives a lot of DM from male fans who refer to her as sexist. In her words: “They should focus more on my professionalism than on other things she told AFP. Refereeing is not a question of gender but of competence”
